List of TV Shows I've Watched In 2016

I just love those times when I can give myself a break and watch a couple of episodes of my favorite tv shows. Nothing better to take my mind off of things. Every semester after I finish my exams I start at least 3 new tv-shows. I need them THAT much.
So here’s a list of tv shows I watched this year ( no regrets haha). Some of them I started before this year and only watched a season in 2016. Most of them will continue next year and I will definitely keep watching them.

  1. Westworld – this is probably one of my favorites this year. I never imagined I would enjoy it this much, but it was really mind-blowing. The cast is also amazing and probably the reason I gave this show a change in the first place.
  2. Narcos
  3. House of Cards
  4. Game of Thrones
  5. Vikings
  6. The Walking Dead
  7. 3%
  8. How to get away with murder
  9. Quantico
  10. Outlander
  11. Mr. Robot
  12. Stranger Things
  13. Shadowhunters
  14. The Night Of
  15. The Crown
  16. 11.22.63

Travel with me: Rome

                                          TRAVEL WITH ME TO ROME

Sooooo… A couple of weeks ago I traveled to Rome with my family and I wanted to share my experience with you. I have to say I loved writing this post because I got to relive the wonderful experience that it was.
Rome. About Rome you can say that the city itself is a museum, captivating and breathtaking. In Rome you just breathe history, culture, it just has so much to offer. It is also known as The Eternal City.

What I visited

Honestly, all you have to do is grab your camera and go out, because in Rome you will encounter something worth seeing at every step. For example, as I took the bus from my hotel to Vatican, just by staring at the window I could see some really beautiful places or interesting sculptures or ruins.
Still, my recommendations are the following:

  • Colosseum- this is a definite must-see when you visit Rome. The view is just breathtaking, I loved staring at it, photographing it, thinking about old times. It is also one of the 7 new wonders of the world. And for a reason!
  • Vatican- as you probably know, Vatican is an enclave within the city of Rome. It is also home to some of the most famous art in the world. St. Peter’s Basilica is definitely worth seeing. The dome is gorgeous, as well as the baldachin. Probably the most famous monument is the Pietà, a marble sculpture of a young looking Mary holding the dead body of her son created by Michelangelo.
  • Trevi Fountain- is also definitely worth a visit. You should know that it is said to be good luck to throw a coin in while facing the other way, so you will return to Rome one day. It is just so crowded, I wasn’t able to take a single photo without someone else popping out.

What I recommend eating

  • Bruschetta
  • Pasta & Lasagna
  • Pizza
  • Suppli- a fried ball of rice with meat and a filling of melted mozzarella (this is only one version of suppli, it can also contain meat or tomato sauce)
  • Gelato (EVERY. DAY. I mean it!)
  • Tiramisu

Other thought about my trip

-First of all, I can say that April is the perfect time to visit Rome. The weather was really lovely, sunny but not too hot. After we left, though, I heard it turned pretty rainy. Also, I kept reading about the crowds for the entries to Vatican and Colosseum, but when we visited it wasn’t crowded at all. There were a few people, of course, but it went really really fast. Still, I can’t tell you if it’s always like that during this time of the year or we were simply lucky.

-We also took a trip to Tivoli, a city situated 30 km from Rome. I definitely recommend visiting it.

-The traffic is pretty bad. If you come from a place where driving is less…chaotic, even crossing the road may be a terrible experience! Thing is, I am used to cars stopping when they see you waiting to cross next to the zebra. Not all the time, but still. Nope. This didn’t happen to me in Rome. Funny thing, when a car DID stop to let me cross the street, others behind him started honking!

-When it comes to drinks, Aperol spritz and Limoncello seem to be pretty popular. Me? I definitely prefer a glass of Prosecco.
